Principal’s Update & September Newsletter

Dear families,

Welcome back to Hemmingford Elementary School (HES) for the 2017-2018 school year! We would like to extend the warmest of greetings to our new families. We would like to thank you for entrusting your children to us at HES.

As a team, we are very excited about working with your children this year to further their academic pursuits and continue to help develop their interests. We will continue to integrate student choice and flexible seating into our classrooms. We have been thankful of the support of our governing who has helped finance, through our fundraising initiatives, many of the purchases in the school.

We have a dedicated team in place this year. I would like to take this moment to introduce the new members of our staff. Miss Kaylee is joining our team on a full time basis this year. She will be teaching Kindergarten and grade 1-2. Mme Mme Catherine will be replacing Mme Nolet for this school year and teaching grade 3 and 5-6 French. Ms. Doyle will be providing extra resource to the grade 1 and grade 1-2 class. We would also like to welcome Miss Amber who is an addition to our Special Education team. Our school staff is growing thanks to your support. Due to our enrollment, we have been able to add a new group.

Our staff welcome communication with our students’ parents. You may reach the staff by writing a note in the agenda or by e-mail. Their contact information is on the school

website ( and has been updated to reflect the current school year.

As always, feel free to drop into the school to meet with Sylvie and I to talk about our initiatives and your child. Please don’t hesitate to call (450-247-2022) or e-mail (

Have a wonderful rest of the month.
